Roy McCurdy is a national jazz treasure. Attend any club, university, festival or concert hall in the world where jazz is presented and mention his name and you'll see head nods and broad smiles. Since the early 60's an astonishing list of jazz luminaries with whom he has worked fills page after page. Included are Coleman Hawkins, Sonny Rollins, Lee Morgan, Art Farmer, The Cannonball Adderley Quintet, Oscar Peterson, Count Basie, Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall and a 31 year stint with Nancy Wilson. As an educator he is an Adjunct Professor in Jazz Studies at USC and the Pasadena Conservatory of Music.
